MOLYVOS & EFTALOU (north coast):

 

Philippa and Eric Kempson - refugee support Eftalou / Molyvos (meets people from boats; cleans beaches; transport and donation coordination)


Stichting Bootvluchtelingen (Dutch group, at Eftalou, aka Boat Refugees; meets people from boats, coordinates transport)


Starfish Foundation -- Help for Refugees in Molyvos (aka Captain’s Table; runs OXY transit camp and warehouses; offers van transport for refugees from the coast)


Team Humanity (Danish group, based at Petra, watching for and meeting boats across the north coast)


Drop in the Ocean (Norwegian, based in Molyvos, watching for and meeting boats across the north coast)


Proactiva Open Arms (Spanish lifeguards; for information only; not taking volunteers)


Octopus Volunteer Team (“flex” team that funnels volunteers where needed to work on the north coast--sort of a volunteer temp agency)

 

SKALA SYKAMINEAS (north coast):


Skala Sikaminias forefront structures for the refugees (aka Platanos; meets people from boats; provides first aid)


Lighthouse - Refugee Relief on Lesvos (Sweden/Norway/UK group; meets people from boats; provides first aid)


The Volunteer Cook (cooks for volunteers and refugees)

 

MANTAMADOS:


The CK Team (works with MSF to administer/organize this bus camp; patrols for boats around Tsonia)

 

AROUND MYTILENE:


O Allos Anthropos in Mytilene
(in Greek; auto-translate makes this into ‘the new man’ -- they cook for refugees at the camps and at the harbor)


Pikpa Lesvos (self-organized camp for people with disabilities and sick children; runs a warehouse; distributes food in Mytilene)


Siniparksi (“Coexistence”; in Greek; provides help to refugees arriving along the coast by the airport south of Mytilene)

 

KALLONI:


NGO Angalia (in Kalloni)

 

MORIA:


Mercy Worldwide
(distributes food, manages lines)


Health Point Project Lesvos (medical care in the “outside” portion of Moria)


Moria Volunteers (works from 3pm to 1am or 2am at Moria, based “inside”)

 

KARA TEPE:


VCA International - The Volunteer's Coordination Agency (NOT a central coordination point for the island, despite the name! distributes food, manages shelter; must work minimum of two weeks)
